Paula Anastasi-Buehler, Artist
Paula Anastasi-Buehler’s passion for painting stems from childhood as she grew up with a father who not only was an artist but her mentor as well. She started painting at an early age and later studied Fine Arts and Fine Arts Education at both Columbia University and Harvard University. Later she taught art for years at St. George’s School in Newport, Rhode Island and at Landmark School in Prides Crossing, Massachusetts. Paula also studied equestrian painting with Sam Savitt at the Academy of Equine Art in Lexington, Kentucky.
Paula kept horses for many years on the North Shore of Boston, and rode extensively in the area. She has done a large variety of commissioned art, painting and drawing competition and hunting horses, family pets, and wildlife favorites for both private individuals and zoos. Her style is extremely realistic, and she captures the fanciful side of many of her subjects.
Paula welcomes your query about commissioned art, and will work from photographs easily and accurately.
